berapa sih biaya nge-date di jakarta?

bensin sekarang (dengan kenaikan) Rp. 1,810/ ltr; satu malam bisa sekitar 30 ltr dengan kondisi ac nyala Rp. 54,300
makan di spice garden dua orang minimal Rp. 40,000 (kalau di spaghetti house atau nannini bisa lebih mahal lagi; segitu buat sendiri)
tiket nonton dua orang berarti Rp. 80,000 di plasentol atau kc (kalau nomat bisa 30,000; tapi siapa yang tahan ngantuknya?)
minum kopi buat nunggu film dua orang minimal Rp. 40,000 di cafe bean (kalau di starbucks; bisa nambah lagi)
uang parkir minimal 5 jam berarti Rp. 5,000 (2 jam makan and jalan; 3 jam nonton)
total = 219,300 plus lain-lain sekitar 250,000
itu baru satu malam; satu bulan ada 4 weekend; berarti sebulan minimal 1 juta.
hmmm... dikit apa banyak sih segitu?

mein fuckin' republiken

ketika ku berjalan di parkiran gedung jamsostek sebelah dan melihat deretan mobil dinas corolla altis terbaru
ketika ku masih harus berjejalan di atas patas ac nomer empat delapan setiap pagi berangkat ke kantor
ketika ku ngobrol dengan orang bappenas yang mendapat minimum lima ratus ribu rupiah setiap kali rapat
ketika ku hitung dalam sehari bisa terjadi empat kali meeting di kantor dan tidak sepeser pun istilah uang rapat
ketika ku baca akan ada demo massal di istana negara melibatkan mahasiswa, buruh dan pengusaha memprotes kenaikan harga
ketika ku lihat puluhan truk mengangkut peleton brimob melintas menuju ke istana negara untuk mengamankannya...

bonne anne deux mill trois!!

tahun baru, handphone baru, hehehe...
sempet masuk kerja, bawaannya pengen pulang mulu. untung ada temen ultah, malah makan-makan, and abis itu boleh pulang cepet. cihuy!! mampir mal ambassador, beli handphone baru. nokia 6510; akhirnya kembali ke selera asal setelah sempet ganti ke siemens and motorola!!
sempet males keluar (macet euy!) pas malem tahun baru, akhirnya malah ngumpul sama temen-temen eks smp dulu. udah lama juga nggak ketemu; tapi tiap ketemu, kesimpulannya selalu sama; nggak ada yang berubah dari kita-kita!!
sempet nggak tau mau kemana, akhirnya ketemuan juga sama anak-anak bloggers jakarta. baru pertama ketemu; tapi anaknya asik-asik, muda-muda (ampe berasa tua euy!), cantik-cantik and ganteng-ganteng; jadi berasa yakin sama nasib bangsa di pundak mereka!!
ketemuan di bunderan mahakam (hehehe, jaman dulu amat) terus lanjut ke kafe tenda semanggi. ada band, tari erotis (padahal goyang dombret pisan!!) sama dj party. abis selamat taun baruan, trus kita misah mau puter-puter jakarta.
alih-alih ke hi, yang ada macet dimana-mana. akhirnya kita balik pulang. pas pulang baru ngerasa capeeeek banget; kayaknya emang udah nggak umur lagi untuk yang beginian; udah uzur!!
anyway, happy new year 2003 buat loe semua!! may you have all the best for the coming years!! i promise myself to enjoy everything more on the coming years!!

four headlines; four meanings; four feelings. all happened (or at least heard) yesterday. any interconnections? let's see.
the mighty indonesian soccer team finally scored enough to enter tiger cup semifinal. an achievement after a bad performance during the beginning. proud? of course. i always want to see indonesia to be tiger cup winner. hope this could be happened. amen.
the mighty judge finally sued. ashamed? of course. i always want to see indonesian court to be 'clean'. it is another spots on our corrupted judicial system. hope this could be solved. amen.
the mighty police is being assigned to secure the christmas night. relief? of course. the last thing i want to see is having the natal bomb again like last year. hope nothing happend. amen. merry christmas to all you guys.
the mighty money flew into my account. happy? of course. this is the first thing i want to see this month. so i could pay up my bills and work things around. hope this could help. amen.

akhirnya perjuangan itu kandas juga. kebetulan saya sedikit ngikutin lewat kompas dan harian lainnya mengenai sengketa ini. agak sulit karena argumentasi indonesia berdasarkan sejarah mentah semua; dan yang menolong malaysia adalah karena secara de facto malaysia sudah 'ada' disana.
sedih? sedikit. soalnya deplu sudah bekerja keras untuk ini. tapi pasti ada hikmahnya. jangan sampai terulang lagi. karena yang ada di antrian sudah menunggu; aceh, papua, dan maluku. jangan sampai ada lagi yang terlepas dari bumi indonesia tercinta ini. amin.

once again, there were difference in deciding which one is the exact date for lebaran and to do shalat ied. but the media is wise now; they don't burn it up into a media commodity; infact, they turn it into the thing that could really support the variety in doing what your believe, even within the same religion.
as for myself; it is not because i am part of one of big islamic organization in indonesia who decide to do it on thursday, dec 5; but merely because i believe tha this is the exact date. beside, my sister and my brother in law already get the news that confirm it. so, since only me and my sister stay in jakarta, we decide to go to senayan to do it together with amien rais as imam.
the organizing committee of the event seemed not to predict that there would be so many people coming. yup, traffic jam to get into senayan arena, the unorganized shaf and separation between men and women; but it doesn't bother much to the khusyuk of shalat ied. during he beginning of the shalat, the committee always remind the people not to be too far in front; knowing the imam is amien rais. after shalat, i heard that amien rais need to be rescued understanding a lot of people want to shake his hands.
when the shalat is finished, i see marshanda (bintang cilik; kalau nggak salah sinetron 'bidadari') and imam prasodjo (sosiolog) is also there joining the shalat. the interesting thing is when i see pak imam prasodjo; he was helping to coordinate the vehicles to be able to get out from the parking lots. when i ask is he serious; he said yes, but they will have to pay me one million rupiahs for this!! hahahaha...
going back home, we decide to go to pondok indah mall to shop some foods and candies for kids who used to come to our house during lebaran (because in our neighbourhood, they celebrate on friday, 6 dec). when we are here again we meet celebrities like nico siahaan and rio febrian. adik gue sempet comment; kok ceweknya rio biasa aja yah... maklum udah lama nggak ke pim, jadi masih norak aja ngeliat celebs indonesia. oya, gue juga ketemu 'celebs' lain; temen gue si linda lagi cari makanan kucing!!
enak juga ya lebaran di jakarta...

'can you tell me anything about the chamber of secrets?' (daniel radcliff; 'harry potter & the chamber of secrets')

yoi, just before the holiday, on wed 4 dec, me and my colleagues from our floor went to see this movie at the hollywood kc 21; which fortunately just next door to our office. so, there we are; me, idot, linda and even my boss join to see this movie.
watching the sequel is not as fun as watching the first one. i am sure many of you watch this movie already, and you would agree that the first one is better; 'lebih greget' kali yee... but i am still amazed with the imagination of the writer, jk. rowling (i was happened to read some part of the book as well) and the director to translate into movie. two thumbs up!!
makanya, buruan nonton deh!! meski sempet diwarnai insiden satu karcis nganggur, tapi acara nontonnya sih sukses!! salut buat idot yang udah mau jadi 'calo' karena perjuangan ngedapetin karcis lumayan berat.
one more thing; watching this movie also makes me remember my friend in paris who really looks like harry potter. maybe this guy could replace daniel radcliff when he decides to retire from making the next sequel of the movie?? what do you think??

'lebaran sebentar lagi...' (bimbo)

yang kecil bisa jadi berarti,
kalau yang besar tidak tertutupi
mohon maaf kalau ada dosa,
besar, kecil, semuanya...

mengucapkan selamat hari raya idul fitri 1423 hijriah
mohon maaf lahir dan bathin untuk segenap rekans yang mampir disini

besok saya sudah libur,
dan berganti tugas menjaga rumah karena seisinya pada mudik...

yup, mudik, i don't know the term in english, but it is very special phenomenon.
even though they don't have something like money to bring home, they still go for mudik.
airplanes, trains, buses, cars, ships, you name it. all full with people want to celebrate eid-l-fitr with their family.
distribution of income on one side, huge homework for police and ministry of transportation on the other side.
time to share for one side, time to show off on the other side.
i used to join mon parents for mudik until high school, but once in the university, i consider myself too 'big' to be squeezed into the packed cans so called our lovely toyota kijang. you know what; usually we packed it up with 10 people along with the luggage. uncomfortable; yes, but that's the thing about mudik. no matter what and how, you just have to do it.
anybody wants to share about your mudik experience?
